It almost seems like the amount of open source in use by our government is the best kept secret. The U.S. State Department has been powered by WebGui, a GPL’ed CMS based on PERL, for awhile. SELinux was also incubated at the DOD, and of course VistA, the open source EHR in use at the VA. (Wow … is it possible to have any more acronyms in a post? )
