Well ... let's get together for Software Freedom Day and talk about
free software :)  In fact, let's do the software equivalent of recipe
swapping and expand our software repertoire. What is your favorite
bit of free software? Why is it your favorite? 
Mine is Sylpheed, the quickest, swiftest email client that I've ever
used. Easy to set up any number of email accounts, easy switch
between accounts when choosing to mail out, easy filter set up ... and
did I mention fast? Very fast. Speed unequalled by any other client
that I've used.

recommendations? I'm thinking downtown for convenience, but I
