Verio Linux Virtual Private Server Information
Many IT professionals associate dedicated hosting with management
hassles. However, those that rely on Verio Linux Virtual Private
Server (VPS) know better.
Virtualization software partitions the resources of a single,
physical server between multiple users in such a way that each VPS
receives most of the benefits and performance of a dedicated server
- without the day-to-day hassles of managing a server.
Virtual power - Despite sharing server resources, each VPS is fully
isolated with its own file system, processes, users, applications,
and resource allocations.
Total control - With VPS, you maintain complete control with the
flexibility to install software and configure the server to meet your
needs. You can even host multiple Websites with separate domains and
unlimited email accounts.
Expert management - Leading the competition in managed services,
Verio's team of Internet experts takes care of your Linux VPS,
managing the data center, the network, the hardware, core software
applications, security updates, and data backups. Our award-winning
systems administrators are available 24/7.
Premier reliability - Our 10 years of VPS experience led us to
introduce Verio FairShare technology, which carves CPU and RAM
server resources into Virtual Resource Units, helping to balance
server loads and make Verio Linux VPS the most reliable choice. Linux
VPS: The right services to meet your needs:
Robust Storage - Linux VPS plans offer 10 GB, 20 GB, and 40 GB
options.
Enterprise-Class Platform - Linux VPS is based on the Red Hat
Enterprise Linux (RHEL) operating system to deliver the best of open
source technology and the stability of a true enterprise-class
platform.
Versatile Application Support - Linux VPS supports a host of
mission-critical applications and tools.
Development Tools - Linux VPS supports thousands of applications and
solutions. Using our quick and easy application installation system
(vinstalls) or the Red Hat Package Manager (RPM) open packaging
system, you can be assured that the development tools you choose are
supported.
Simple Controls - A Web-based control panel makes account
configuration and customization easy. Root access provides maximum
control over applications and users.
Verio Vendor Showcase at SCALE 5X Linux Virtualization in Action:
What you love about Linux - What you need for Business.
Rin Ure - Performance Engineer, Verio Verio's Linux-based virtual
private server (VPS) is making strides in the small/medium business
and developer communities, delivering a flexible, powerful and
economical solution to businesses and Linux enthusiasts. A VPS is an
ideal solution for small to medium businesses who want power,
control, expert management, and premier reliability but not all the
hassles that come with that.
At this session, you will learn how this technology can benefit your
bottom line. Come get the insight on the business benefits of
virtual private servers -- the technology, security, cost, and how
VPS allows users to gain more control over their web infrastructure,
but without the headache of the management and ongoing maintenance.
Attend this session to see the Linux VPS in action and learn how it
can fit into your business model."
We look forward to seeing you at the show!

Transitive: Transitioning Solaris/Sparc Applications to Linux/x86
================
Dear SCALE 5x attendee,
If you are interested in learning how to quickly and easily transport
applications from your legacy Solaris/SPARC servers to modern,
efficient Linux/x86 platforms, be sure to visit Transitive at Booth
#56.
Transitive's unique QuickTransit solution allows Solaris/SPARC
workloads to be moved to Linux/x86 servers without any changes to
source code or binaries. That's right - no expensive porting
projects, no re-writing the same application twice, no recompilation
and no disruption to your end users!
QuickTransit benefits Linux datacenter managers in a number of ways:
* Extends the useful life of key applications
* Simplifies and standardizes systems administration
* Allows rapid decommissioning and removal of obsolete hardware
* Saves data centre space, power/cooling and maintenance costs
If it sounds too good to be true, keep in mind that this is the very
same core technology that is built into every Intel-based Apple Mac,
that allows more than 5 million Mac users to run PowerPC applications
(such as Microsoft Office) seamlessly and at near-native performance
on an x86 platform.
Interested? Then please take time to stop by Booth #56 at SCALE 5x
this weekend, talk to the Transitive team there, watch a demo and
perhaps sign up for you own free evaluation copy of QuickTransit.
See you at SCALE 5x!
-- The Transitive Team.
