If you're interested in network and file sharing between clients using
different OSes using SAMBA http://samba.org then Linux Users Los Angeles
(LULA) http://lula.org  will be giving a short presentation on SAMBA as
part of it's every third Tuesday meeting.  Per the blurb on the LULA
mailing list 
"Demo on setting up SAMBA.  Kevin Cohen will demonstrate setting up
client/server for communicating between cross platforms of Linux and
Windows."
I know that their web site doesn't say so (and I thought I was bad in
keeping information up to date !) but it looks to be a confirmed topic.
