SCALE is upon us! http://socallinuxexpo.org/
A truly wonderful weekend of the Los Angeles Linux Community is almost
upon us (Feb 11 & 12). As LinuxChixLA has for the past 3 SCALE events,
we will be manning (womanning ?) a booth and we're hoping to have a
version of the LiveLamp Server for demonstration.
LiveLamp http://www.livelamp.org/ is a server on a LiveCD designed to
provide a complete LAMP development environment for schools with very
low IT budgets. LiveLAMP wants to provide schools with the an easy to
administer Linux LAMP server ... Pop in a LiveCD and students are
provided with a LAMP development server complete with 1000 possible
login accounts. 
LinuxChixLA will have some extra tickets admission tickets available for
volunteers at the LinuxChixLA SCALE booth ... so let me know if you are
interested in putting in some time. There is also some money in the
LinuxChixLA kitty so for money for parking will also be available. 
If you are undecided, remember that SCALE early bird pricing is ending
Jan 1: 
Early Bird: $50, Regular: $65

Separate note:  
1) 
Rosie (the Los Angeles Linux Chix founder) has offered to front the
money for a new batch of t-shirts ... I'm thinking that a pink tux on
white shirts would be a nice change from the white tux on grey shirts
that we've had previously. Thoughts?

January Meeting. My time has finally (!) cleared a bit and I'd like to
meet all of you all over again. Are there any conflicts with a Sunday
meeting on either the 11th or 18th? Maybe the SCALE LiveLAMP server will
be operational by then and we can poke around some :)
