Hey All!
If you haven't yet registered for SCALE I highly recommend that you do
before the early registration ends on Friday. Tt is *THE* (only?) Linux
event in Los Angeles. The next opportunity would be LinuxWorld in San
Fran in August. The speaker list includes Jon 'MadDog' Hall, so be sure
to take advantage of the early registration. Use any of the LUG codes
below for discounted admission ... but only until this Friday, the 31st.
In addition LinuxChixLA is scheduled for booth space in
the exhibit hall  -- http://socallinuxexpo.org/exhibitions/linuxchix.php
The LinuxChixLA booth is a great opportunity for members to have their
business cards and business info available to the greater LA tech crowd.
I will also be asking for volunteers to help with booth coverage during
SCALE for a few hours in the next few days. I'm expecting that our booth
presentation focus will be on Live CDs -- Knoppix, etc.  Even if you
can't volunteer some time at the booth, perhaps you could volunteer to
burn a few CDs for demo purposes. 
I'm thinking that we should schedule a LinuxChixLA meeting for January
... I'm open to preferences to places and time. Feel feel to post to the
list and/or email me privately with suggestions.
