I am currently working with a well established education related company
based in West LA. They are looking for a full time/perm Unix
Administrator. This company is well-established and has been in business
for over five years. The salary range is fairly open, but they are

 Unix Administrator: 

* Solid understanding of FreeBSD

* Strong understanding of various internet protocols and technologies
(FTP, SSH, LDAP, HTTP, SSL, SMTP, IMAP, NFS, SMB, etc.)

* Shell scripting

* Working knowledge of TCP/IP networked environments; configuring
network interfaces, routing tables, NFS and DNS configuration and basic
network troubleshooting

* Understanding of Apache, Postfix, PowerDNS and MySQL

* Experience with network analysis tools (Ettercap, etc.) are important
for the candidate's success in this position

* Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply processes and procedures

* Ability to analyze, investigate and solve problems (i.e. Very strong
troubleshooting skills)

* Understanding that TOORCON, CDC, Shmoo, DEFCON, DoD, LOD, and IRCU are
not government organizations

* Self motivated and able to work under minimal management/supervision

* Flexible; the ability to manage/prioritize multiple tasks
simultaneously

* Basic PHP, Perl and/or Ruby ninja like abilities

* After Hours on call duties will be needed occasionally
